B22 released in 2018, arguably one of the best high-end trainers ever created. Designed under the supervision of Kim Jones, the sneakers draw influence from 90’s running shoes, boasting a chunky and angular look. Favoured by the likes of Rihanna, Bella Hadid and A$AP Rocky, the B22 has gone from strength to strength and remains one of the most popular luxury pairs that money can buy.
It’s a well-known fact that sizing can be inaccurate with luxury sneakers, with there often being huge differences between them and production line sneakers such as Nikes or Jordans, however, you’ll be pleased to hear that the Dior B22 follows a regular pattern in terms of fit. You can take your regular size in any B22 and it should provide an accurate and comfortable fit.
Of course, where possible, we’d always advise trying on sneakers in a store if you can, as preferences can vary significantly from person to person. But if you’re buying online, taking your regular size is a solid option. Comparing a new pair of sneakers to silhouettes you already own is a great way to work out what size you might need, so we’ve done all the hard work for you to assure you cop the correct size the first time around! In comparison to Nikes, the Dior B22 fits relatively similar, meaning it’s a safe bet to choose the same size there. The same can be said for most adidas sneakers, however be aware that the B22 can’t really be compared to Yeezys, as most Yeezys run a size or half a size small. We recommend following our advice above and taking your regular size in the B22, unless you have significantly wide feet, in which case a half size up should suffice.
Being a chunky sneaker, the Dior B22 naturally lends itself to relaxed streetwear outfits, but that’s not to say it’s a one trick pony. For a casual fit, we’d recommend matching the B22 with a pair of baggy cargo trousers and an oversized hoodie, then accessorising with a cap or beanie to finish the look. This look should accentuate the angular look of the B22s beautifully, making for a serious ‘fit. On the other hand, complement the Dior B22 with a pair of straight fit denim such as an offering from the likes of Amiri jeans or Louis Vuitton and a button-down shirt and you’ll be left with a smart-casual look to be reckoned with.
While the Dior B22 doesn’t have specific colourways and models like some sneakers do, it does come in a number of different options that look equally great. For starters, we’re huge fans of the beige and white iteration of the kicks, it offers a versatile appearance that’s easy to work into just about any outfit. On the contrary, the triple black variant offers a stealthy get-up that’s ideal for the winter months, as any dirty marks will be way less visible (although we’d always recommend regular sneaker cleaning sessions)!
